Students are urged to leave Ukraine as soon as possible.

In the midst of the Ukraine crisis, India has once again urged Indian citizens and students to leave Ukraine as soon as possible. The Indian Embassy in Kiev, Ukraine’s capital, has issued the advisory once more. An appeal has been made to Indian students to leave Ukraine as soon as possible. It has been suggested that Indian students should return to their homeland rather than wait for official university confirmation of online classes. According to the embassy, it has received a large number of calls from students inquiring about the confirmation of online classes by medical universities. According to the embassy, students and citizens should return temporarily while keeping their safety in mind. The Indian Embassy maintains constant contact with the relevant authorities in order to streamline the educational process.

Citizens of India are our top priority.

The UN Security Council has convened an emergency meeting in response to Russia’s declaration of independence for two Ukrainian cities and orders to send troops. TS Tirumurti, India’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, stated that the rising tensions on Ukraine’s border with Russia are a source of grave concern. These developments will jeopardise the region’s peace and security. According to him, over 20,000 Indian students and citizens reside in various parts of Ukraine. Our top priority is the safety of Indians. India, he said, expects both sides to exercise restraint and step up diplomatic efforts.

Putin has ordered the army to be dispatched.

Donetsk and Luhansk, two cities separated from eastern Ukraine, have been recognised as independent by Russian President Vladimir Putin. In his Monday address to the nation, he announced this. In his speech, Russian President Vladimir Putin referred to Ukraine as an American colony and said that the country’s government is a ‘puppet’ in America’s hands. This has been the case. After a meeting of the President’s Security Council, Putin made the announcement, clearing the way for Russia to send military forces and weapons to the conflict between Moscow-backed rebels and Ukrainian forces.
