On Thursday, he arrived in India for a two-day visit. Sergei’s visit to India is seen as crucial in terms of diplomatic and military relations with Ukraine. Many European countries, including the United States, are anticipating his arrival.

‘Thank you,’ PM Modi said.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated during his meeting with Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar that India and Russia are developing a strategic partnership. This is one of our top priorities. We are very interested in bringing the world order back into balance. PM Modi has received our President’s best wishes. He went on to say that he admires India for moving forward with full understanding on the Ukraine issue rather than succumbing to unilateral pressure.

According to Lavrov, India and Russia have had a long-standing relationship.

When asked how India can be helped with security issues, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated that “dialogue is a feature of our relations with India that we have developed over many decades.” The relationship is a strategic partnership that serves as the foundation for all of our cooperation efforts. I believe that Indian foreign policy is characterised by a focus on independence and genuine national legitimate interests, according to Lavrov. The Russian Federation follows the same policy, which has resulted in us becoming a large country with good friends and loyal partners.

No pressure will have an impact on our relationship.

When asked if US pressure on India would affect India-Russia relations, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said, “I have no doubt that any pressure will not affect our partnership.” They (the United States) are pressuring others to adopt their political views. “You called it war, which is not true,” Lavrov said when asked about Ukraine. This is a unique operation in which military infrastructure is targeted. Our goal is to prevent the Kyiv regime from posing any threat to Russia.
