Budget Session 2022: There is a possibility of uproar over Pegasus issue in Lok Sabha today

On Wednesday, the Lok Sabha will begin debating the Motion of Thanks on the President’s Address. On behalf of the opposition, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi will speak first. They could take up the much-discussed Pegasus case. There’s a chance this will cause a ruckus.

In the Lok Sabha, the Opposition has been given 12 hours to debate the Motion of Thanks. Congress has one hour to spend on this. On behalf of the opposition parties, Rahul Gandhi will open the debate. They can bring up the President’s address, the budget, and the Israeli company’s purchase of Pegasus spyware. This is a point of contention between the ruling party and the opposition.

Rahul says he has a “zero sum budget.”

When reporters asked Rahul Gandhi about his reaction to the budget on Tuesday, he said he would keep his point of view in the House. Previously, he had referred to the budget as a “zero-sum budget” on Twitter. ‘Zer0 even budget of M0di G0 government!’ he tweeted. There is nothing for the salaried class, the middle class, the poor, and the deprived-youth-farmers-MSMEs.’

Outside Parliament, the Youth Congress will stage a protest.

While Rahul Gandhi speaks in the Lok Sabha, Youth Congress members will stage a protest outside the building to draw media and public attention to the issue. For this, Congress has dispatched its youth leaders.

PM Modi will be able to respond on Monday.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to respond to the Motion of Thanks on the Address in both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha on Monday and Tuesday, respectively. President Ram Nath Kovind addressed the joint session of Parliament on Monday, the first day of the budget session. After Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Union Budget for the fiscal year 2022-23 on Tuesday, the proceedings were adjourned until Wednesday.
