Ukraine crisis not averted: Johnson said – little evidence of withdrawal of Russian army

The crisis in Ukraine is far from over. According to British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, there is little evidence of Russian military withdrawal from Ukraine’s border. In a phone conversation with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, he stated this. Meanwhile, the United States has expressed optimism about India. He has stated that if Russia attacks Ukraine, India will stand by him.

The office of Prime Minister Johnson has released a statement regarding the talks between the two leaders. According to the report, the two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to uphold their UN Charter obligations and to respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of UN member states.

Consequences that are disastrous and far-reaching

The Russian invasion of Ukraine, Johnson and Guterres agreed, would have “disastrous and far-reaching consequences.” The crisis that has erupted on Ukraine’s borders was thoroughly discussed by the two leaders. On the eve of Thursday’s UN Security Council meeting, Johnson called UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon. Along the Ukrainian border, Russia has deployed over 100,000 troops, heavy weapons, and fighter jets.

India is a source of hope for America.

On the other hand, there is news from Washington that the United States needs India’s help in the Ukraine crisis. India is committed to a rules-based world order, according to US State Department spokesman Ned Price. If Russia attacks Ukraine, America expects India to stand by us. According to Price, Russia and Ukraine were discussed at the Quad countries’ recent foreign ministerial meeting in Melbourne.

The foreign ministers of the host countries, Australia, India, Japan, and the United States, met in Melbourne recently. There was broad agreement at that meeting that the Ukraine crisis should be resolved diplomatically and peacefully. One of the Quad’s main objectives is to strengthen the international rules-based order. The rule-based system should apply to the Indo-Pacific region, Europe, and all other far-flung regions equally. Price said in response to a question that we know our Indian partners are committed to a rules-based world order. This system has its own set of rules, one of which is that the boundaries should not be altered by force.
