Ukraine has the support of the United States and a number of other countries. President Zelensky of Ukraine has appealed to the leaders of the three countries for assistance in ending the conflict.

Putin has two reasons for not putting an end to the conflict.
Putin is not attempting to bring the war to a halt. This is due to two factors. First and foremost, Putin has little faith in America and Europe. Putin believes that America is attempting to encircle Russia under the guise of Europe. Ukraine wishes to join the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, which is dominated by the United States (NATO). This could endanger Russia’s security. Ukraine has demanded membership in the European Union as a result of this (EU).
NATO and the EU have an important agreement that if one of their members is attacked, they will all fight together. That is, an attack on any of its countries from the outside would be considered an attack on all of its allies. As a result, as soon as Ukraine joins NATO, Russia will be surrounded on all sides by NATO members. This would allow the United States to attack Russia directly.
Russia needs status
The second reason is one of social standing. Putin wants Russia to have the same status as it did in the Soviet Union. Recently, Russia’s economy has collapsed. Following WWII, the Soviet Union began to emerge as a major power. Russia aspired to be the dominant force in Europe. As a result, Russia’s relations with European countries have deteriorated. America wants to take advantage of this condition of Russia, so it wants Ukraine to become a member of NATO and EU. As a result, America has a chance to become the world’s most powerful nation.
Russia should not target nuclear plant – President Emmanuel
Macron urged Putin to provide humanitarian assistance to ordinary people and to end military operations.
Emmanuel Macron, the French president, met with Putin. During this, he appealed not to target the nuclear plant. Putin responded by telling Macron that he had no plans to attack Ukraine’s nuclear power plant.
The war will end if Ukraine agrees to terms.
Given the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, President Erdoan believes Russia should put the war on hold for a while.
