CSK vs PBKS: Chennai looking for first win

The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have struggled in the IPL so far. The team lost to the new franchise Lucknow Super Giants after losing to KKR in the opening match of the tournament. Ravindra Jadeja, the captain, wants the team to improve on several fronts against Punjab Kings on Sunday in order to reclaim the title. While the batting struggled in the first match, the dew hampered the bowlers in the second, and they were unable to defend more than 200 runs.

Dew in the second innings has resulted in teams opting to chase down the target, and CSK will hope to be better prepared to bowl with the wet ball, with the toss playing such an important role in the outcome of the match. Deepak Chahar, Adam Milne, and Chris Jordan are all missing from CSK’s bowling attack. To keep the opposing batsmen at bay, Chennai will have to bowl tight. Simultaneously, captain Jadeja will have to re-establish his normal rhythm.

The Punjab Kings have a few big hitters in their lineup, but they were unable to make an impact against KKR. The team will be desperate to get back on track after the six-wicket loss, and its batsmen will be expected to contribute. Punjab can easily dominate the opposition’s attack with Mayank Agarwal, Shikhar Dhawan, and Bhanuka Rajapaksa in the top order. Odeon Smith and Shah Rukh Khan are both known for delivering the ball and will be expected to play the finisher more frequently.

Kagiso Rabada was included in Punjab’s attack, but none of the bowlers faced Andre Russell. As a result, they’ll have to band together and bowl in the appropriate areas soon. The two spinners, Rahul Chahar and Harpreet Brar, will play critical roles in the match, and their performance could determine the outcome.
