Sunil Gavaskar doesn’t consider Shane Warne to be the best spinner of all time

Former Indian captain Sunil Gavaskar’s comments about Australia’s great spinner Shane Warne have enraged cricket fans. Gavaskar had previously stated that he did not comprehend Shane Warne’s status as the greatest spinner of all time. Shane Warren, 52, passed away on Friday. The death of Shane Warne has shocked the cricketing world. Warne died of a heart attack, according to reports.

Shane Warne was widely regarded as the best spinner of all time by former and current cricketers. Gavaskar, on the other hand, had a slightly different take on the matter. Gavaskar believed that Warne was not as good as Muttiah Muralitharan because he did not have a good record against India.

‘No, I will not believe Shane Warne is the greatest bowler of all time,’ Gavaskar said in an interview with Sports Today on Saturday. Muttiah Muralidhar, an Indian spinner, is, in my opinion, a better spinner than Shane Warne. If you look at his records against India, you’ll notice that he has a lot of them. He has a dreadful record against India. Only once, against India in Nagpur, did he take five wickets in an innings. Because of his poor track record against India, I’ll put Muttiah Muralitharan ahead of him.

‘I think the first season of the IPL was great because there weren’t many big names in it,’ Gavaskar said. Warney did an excellent job of scouting talent. And, according to legend, he was the best captain Australia has ever had. Because the Australian Selection Committee is well aware of this, I will also keep my comments to a minimum.

However, a Twitter user was irritated by Gavaskar’s statement. Gavaskar should not be discussing Warne’s record in this manner.
