Ukraine Russia War: Putin puts nuclear forces on alert

The war between Russia and Ukraine is now in its fourth day. Russia has stepped up its attacks in an attempt to retake Kiev. So far, Russian attacks have claimed the lives of hundreds of civilians. The Central Bank of Russia, on the other hand, has been sanctioned by the United States, the European Union, and the United Kingdom. Many European countries, including Germany, have also restricted Russian aircraft from flying in their airspace. Meanwhile, the United Nations Security Council will meet tonight at 1.30 p.m. to discuss the Ukraine crisis. It will decide whether or not to call a special session of the UN General Assembly to discuss Ukraine.

President Vladimir Putin of Russia has ordered the nuclear defence forces to be ready. This has caused concern in every European country, including the United States. It has now been revealed that the United Nations’ nuclear monitoring agency will hold an emergency meeting on Wednesday to discuss Russia’s position. At the moment, 35 countries are members of the UN agency.

On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lead a high-level meeting on the situation in Ukraine. According to reports, the meeting will take place shortly after the Prime Minister returns from organising the election conch shell in his parliamentary constituency of Varanasi. A meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security, chaired by Prime Minister Modi, was held earlier on Thursday. Many ministers attended, including Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and others.
