US working slowly on Palestine-Israel peace process

20 January, United Nations (AP) Riyadh Malki, the Palestinian Foreign Minister, chastised US President Joe Biden on Thursday for taking too long to reverse the Trump administration’s anti-Palestinian policies.
Malki told the United Nations Security Council that the end of the Trump administration and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s regime “will be enough to pave the way for a renewed peace,” according to Malki.

He claimed that the Biden administration is moving “slowly” to reverse Trump’s “illegal and wrong” policies, particularly the relocation of the US embassy to Jerusalem.

“The Palestinians thought America would turn to Palestine a year ago, when Joe Biden became president,” Malki later told reporters, “but we saw that Israel was able to turn America’s stance to some extent, and that helped us.” Everyone was in a bad mood.”
