The new captain of RCB, the franchise will soon announce the name of the captain

After playing Test cricket under Rohit Sharma’s captaincy, Virat Kohli will play in the Indian Premier League under Faf du Plessis’s captaincy (IPL). The new captain of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has been named. Du Plessis is almost certain to be named captain, according to RCB sources.

Du Plessis’ name has been inscribed. Glenn Maxwell’s name was also discussed with him, but in the end, du Plessis’ name was chosen. Former captain Virat Kohli, according to sources, also agrees on his name. The name of du Plessis will be announced by RCB soon.

As a result, the seal on his name has been removed.

Faf du Plessis is regarded as a T20 specialist. In international cricket, he has also captained South Africa. He captained Africa in 37 T20 matches, winning 23, losing 13, and tying one. Faf has a 63.51 percent win rate. Glenn Maxwell, on the other hand, will be unable to participate in the first two games. He also fell behind du Plessis as a result of this.

Virat had stepped down as captain.

Virat Kohli left the captaincy of RCB after the end of IPL phase 2 after leaving the captaincy of Team India’s T20 last year. The reason given by Kohli was to concentrate on his batting. He desired to lessen his own workload. Kohli took over as captain of RCB in the 2013 season, but the team failed to win the IPL title even once during his tenure. The team made it to the final in 2016, but they were unable to win the trophy.

The average number of runs scored in the last IPL was 45.21.

While playing for Chennai Super Kings in the IPL last year, Du Plessis scored 633 runs at an average of 45.21 in 16 matches. Simultaneously, 2935 runs have been scored at an average of 34.94 in the first 100 matches.
