Union Budget 2022: US-India Forum praises Indian government

Union Budget 2022: The Union Budget was released by the government on February 1st. At the same time, the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum praised Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and the Indian government for releasing the Union Budget. According to the Forum, the government’s budget will boost development efforts.

Mukesh Aghi, President and CEO of the USISPF, spoke at the event and stated that the government has adhered to the first principle that no one should be harmed. In light of the upcoming state elections, there was a lot of pressure on the government to do more. Furthermore, there will be no major policy changes, which is beneficial in the current situation. This is what I refer to as a measurable and practical budget.

Speaking of the strong infrastructure, Aghi said that a 35 percent increase in the capital expenditure budget is encouraging. It will expand business and be aided by infrastructure investments that will help to create more jobs.

He stated, “This budget shows a credible path, and we appreciate the government’s stable policy to revive and continue the Indian economy’s growth trajectory.” Along with this, he discussed the Make in India initiative. India is also well-connected to lead the fight against climate change, according to the report.
